WEEK ONE-FOCUS ON PRAISE/THANKSGIVING FROM HOME/FOREIGN MISSION FIELDS
“The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him. Ex 15:2
 
WEDNESDAY 1ST
Praise God for the successful weaning of a mission station in Loyulme (South North East Region) into a Local Church Board (LCB), the church was handed over to Yamel DCC with 45 baptized members and other 81 people who together made up the current church membership.
 
THURSDAY 2ND
Praise God for the fruitful mission outreached to Akpanaja under the Mid-East Region where converts were made, and as a result, a church was planted with 17 people as the pioneering members. Ask the Lord to sustain the new converts and the new planted church.
 
FRIDAY 3RD
A new church was planted in the community of Ruwayo, in Lafia, under the Mid- East Region. To the glory of God, the church which at its’ inception began to worship under a shade received gift of a temporary auditorium, by one of the persons in the community. A 4 bedroom apartment was also given for the missionary pastor to stay for free, until the church was able to get a permanent place for the missionary. Moreover, to the glory of God a piece of land was also given to the church to build a permanent place of worship. Praise God for his favor and provisions
 
SATURDAY 4TH
Praise God for answered prayers and His intervention regarding pastor Amah’s first convert in Mali. Mr. Hamidou was at the verge of being withdrawn from the university but God changed the situation positively.
WEEK TWO – FOCUS IS ON EMS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AND HOME MISSION FIELDS
“Those who manifest wisdom will shine like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who turn many to righteousness will shine like the stars for ever and ever”. Daniel 12:3
SUNDAY 5TH
EMS ADMINISTRATIVE HEAD OFFICE: Praise God for Sustaining the Director, Administrator and all the EMS management staff in all their endeavors.
  • Pray that the EMS Director, Administrator, and all management staff will maintain focus and be free from distraction on their daily assignments. Pray for godly leadership discernment and wisdom on all of them (James 1:5; Ephesians1:16-17).
NOTE:
We are fasting tomorrow first (1st) Monday of every month is to be observed nationally and internationally as ems prayer and fasting day. Therefore, all ems arms, missionaries, office staff, prayer partners and supporters should please endeavor to join the ems international head office in prayers. As we join faith and trust god in one accord with brethren around the world for a steady and a fruitful growth of the kingdom of god, peace and the salvation of nations, for revival and spiritual growth of the church. Our corporate prayer time at the head office, is 8-9am, 12-1pm, and 3-4pm respectively. You can join us in prayers wherever you may be at those times or make out time of your own convenience as you are led by god. Please, just be sure to pray along as you fast.
MONDAY 6TH
SOUTH NORTH EAST REGION-TARABA: Ask the Lord to restore peace to the turbulence areas of Taraba State in the South North East Region, the fight between the Fulani and the Mumuye has caused a lot of destructions, disturbances and has distracted mission work in the affected areas.
 
TUESDAY 7TH
SOUTH WEST REGION – ILORIN: The official ministry Hilux Jeep with which the regional coordinator is able to visit missionaries, monitor the mission work of missionaries and also aid in moving missionaries on transfer in this region has been down since November 2015, all effort to fix it has proven abortive .Ask the Lord to intervene so that this vehicle will be fix or grant open doors for replacement.
 
WEDNESDAY 8TH
NORTH EAST REGION-GOMBE: Pray for pastor Ibrahim Adamu, a new EMS missionary sent to begin work at Kautikari, a mission station located around Chibok in Borno state. Ask the Lord to grant Him grace to be effective and to also keep them safe from terrorist attacks.
 
THURSDAY 9TH
MID EAST REGION-LAFIA
  • Pray for missionaries working in the interior mission fields; ask for God’s intervention from the harassment of herdsmen who take over their farm lands, and eat up their farm products. Ask the Lord for the protection of their live aswell.
  • Pray for peaceful settlement of a misunderstanding between the Muslims and the Christians at Dogon Kurmicommunity.
FRIDAY 10TH
FAR NORTH REGION MALUMFASHI: Dangwadabe, Ubani and Saratu are new converts who are currently being persecuted. Ask the Lord to strengthen them and increase their faith in Him in the face of their present trying times.
 
SATURDAY 11TH
CENTRAL REGION-ABUJA: ECWA Good News Church Maitama Minister’s hill in her commitment to promote the works of mission emerged to be the first to add a “Mission Pastor” to her number of pastors. Pray for Pastor Abel for God’s guidance as the mission pastor who becomes the senior pastor of the church.
WEEK THREE – FOCUS ON OTHER EMS MISSION ARMS
 
SUNDAY 12TH
EMS CHILDREN AND MISSION FIELD SCHOOL: Ask the Lord to equip all EMS missionary teachers with true knowledge and the skill for teaching. Pray that He Give them patience and understanding; justice and prudence; humility and fear of the Lord. Ask God to Grant them wisdom and charity so that with a pure and holy love they may impart these gifts to the children under their care.
 
MONDAY 13TH
EMS MEDICAL UNIT: Pray for EMS Medical Coordinator, nurses and all those who work in EMS medical facilities. Ask that the Lord will strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those in their care.
  • Pray for God’s healing on Pas. Christopher Saman’s wife who had complications during child birth at delivery and has being sick sincethen.
  • Pray for God’s healing on Mrs. Unenge Anthony, a missionary’s wife in the Mid-East Region, who is suffering from kidneyinfection.
TUESDAY 14TH
EMS MISSIONARY DRIVERS: Ask the Lord to bless all EMS Drivers with their families, pray that He Watch, guide and Keep them safe in their travels throughout the months of 2017.
 
WEDNESDAY 15TH
EMS CITY MINISTRIES (ECM): Pray for Rev. Ayuba Kukwi the new ECM manager for God’s wisdom, sound health and sound mind as he carries out his assignment. Also pray for Rev. Monday Zock, the out gone manager for more of God’s grace in his new area of ministry as the senior chaplain to the EMS children school Jos. Ask the Lord to raise more helpers and supporters for EMS City Ministries.
 
THURSDAY 16TH
EMS SECURITY PERSONNELS: Ask God to strengthen and encourage all EMS security personals and their families. Pray that the security personals would be adequately equipped to secure EMS facilities under God’s ultimate protection.
 

 

FRIDAY 17TH
EMS “ISHMAEL” EVANGELISM UNIT:
  • Pray for the existing church in Pakistan and other countries who are ostracized and threatened by their families and communities, and often struggle to find work and a safe place to live. Pray for their protection, for opportunities for them to meet together to encourage each other, and that they will not loseheart.
SATURDAY 18TH
EMS SPORTS MINISTRY: Ask the Lord to grant wisdom on how to use Sports ministry to overcome cross cultural barriers, thereby extending greater gospel influence in communities to engage youth for mission purpose.
WEEK FOUR: FOCUS ON CROSS BORDERS MISSION FIELDS
"I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” Luke 4:43-44 NIV
SUNDAY 19TH
CROSS BORDERS CRITICAL NEEDS: EMS is still trusting God for the sum of N300M that is urgently needed for various critical Cross Borders Projects. Let’s not relent in praying for this need. Let’s not relent in Praying for the formal registration of ECWA in cross borders mission fields- E.g. ECWA Niger, ECWA Mali, ECWA Kenya and others.
 
MONDAY 20TH
ZAMBIA: Pray for the Christians in Zambia, especially in areas our missionaries are targeting for openness. Some of them their YES means NO; and they are very secretive. Giving offering is a serious concern. Drunkenness is never address even by parents, more or less, many of the pastors as they are equal partakers. Also pray for the ongoing plans to recruit two indigenous missionaries for enlarging the work in Zambia.
 
TUESDAY 21ST
NIGER REPUBLIC: Thank God for the harmonious living of Rev. & Mrs. Tanimu Ishaya with their Muslim neighbors.
  • Pray for God to provide a missionary couple to be sent to Birnin Konni to shepherd the newly plantedChurch.
  • Pray for Pastor Jimami Dalla, who has commenced work at Rigiyar Riga village of Aguie, Niger Republic. He had his first congregational service on the 26th    of January 2017.
WEDNESDAY 22ND
YAOUNDE, CAMEROON: Praise God for ECWA Yaoundé, the capital of the Republic of Cameroon. The church is really growing and also working on supporting Mission work as a missionary sending church. Ask the Lord to increase upon this church grace for evangelism and urban church planting.
 
THURDAY 23RD
ZAMBIA AND MALAWI INAUGURATION: Pray for the success of the ongoing plan to inaugurate two mission fields at the last quarter of this year 2017. Also pray for financial opening to meet the financial needs of these new fields.
 
FRIDAY 24TH
MALI: Praise God for successful movement of Pastor & Mrs. Amah to a more strategic location in Faladie as a  strategy to plant churches that can in turn plant others.
  • Thank God for the prison ministry of Pastor & Mrs. Amah in Bamako as the attention of the Nigerian embassy is been drawn to them, they have been invited by the Consular of theNigerianEmbassytodiscusspartnershipintheareasofinformationsharing,logistics and Trauma healings for the Nigerians in prisons.
SATURDAY  25TH
GAMBIA: Pray for the Gambian field as they trust God for three more indigenous missionaries as early as possible. Ask the Lord to direct in the Choice of missionaries to be engaged in this regards.
WEEK FIVE: FOCUS ON REVIVAL, HOMES, MISSION AGENCIES AND NIGERIA.
“…Revive us so we can call on your name once more. Psalm 80:18
SUNDAY 26TH
RIVIVAL: Rom 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will”. NIV
  • In line with Rom 12:2, Pray that the Lord will help us to set our minds on Him. That we will not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds to prove what His willis.
  • Pray that God would help us by the power of His Spirit to think on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, (Philippians4:8)
  • Pray that He Strengthens us in the power of His might, dress us in His armor so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians6:10-12)
MONDAY 27TH
CHRISTIAN HOMES: Thank God for the Families of believers. Ask that He bless us with His favor, provide for all of our needs and also protect us from harm and evil of every kind. Pray that He Brings His perfect peace to the hearts of every member of our family.
 
TEUSDAY 28TH
MISSION AGENCIES: Pray for growing partnerships and deepening relationships between Mission agencies with their sponsors. Pray for Divine appointments and for the right people to join the Harvest force full time. Pray for more partners, finances, and mission workers so that mission agencies can continue with the Kingdom work around the world. As you devote yourself to prayer, ask the Lord to open doors for the world mission agencies to proclaim the mystery of Christ among more people.
 
WEDNESDAY 29TH
PERSECUTED CHURCH: In many countries, Christians are harassed, discriminated against, slandered, unjustly accused, summarily arrested and sometimes imprisoned, beaten, exiled or killed. Violence comes both from governments and religious extremists. Pray that the church:
  • Remain focus, strong in faith and trust despite physical and psychologicalabuse
  • Will be able to forgive those who persecute us or who fail to supportus
  • Will experience and know love, joy and peace from God (Romans8:28-39)
  • Will walk humbly in our identification with Christ’ssufferings
  • Will be fruitful witness to others in the midst ofpersecution.
  • Will be able to balance standing up for her rights, yet responding in grace andlove.
THURSDAY 30TH
NIGERIA: Pray and ask for God’s mercy upon Nigeria, its leaders and people. Pray also that the Church would be persistent in prayer and that God would deliver the nation from every source of violence. Pray for a change of heart for Boko Haram members, Fulani gunmen, their sponsors and supporters.
 
FRIDAY 31ST
WORLD LEADERS: Particularly lift up those men and women whom God have called into national leadership positions and pray that they will give Him first place in their lives and seek Him diligently in prayer when they are called upon to make difficult decisions that affect the lives of so many people.
  • Ask the Lord to Lead and guide all Christian leaders into all truth and guard them from the ridicule that Christian leaders of our nations inevitably have to face in a world that has predominantly abandoned the truth of Scripture.
