Rejecting God is Not an Option

by

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Jos 24:15.

But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord

Why will serving the Lord be undesirable to anyone then or now? This is a valid question because God has never failed to prove Himself as the only true God who created us, provides, protects and even died in our place. God has not failed to live up to His Name, and there are no other gods who are actually doing anything good for man. These gods are fake, yet the Israelite’s prostituted themselves with them.

Today, we have multiplied the gods that we prostitute ourselves with. Morality is dead and buried and anything goes. More young people are choosing Atheism and Humanism which are basically the same thing as far as I am concerned. Anybody who claims that God does not exist worships himself which is what humanism entails. Is there hope to reverse this trend? The forecast is negative. God assured us that things will get worse as we near the end of times.

The chosen ones will still worship the true God no matter what. You, like Joshua, can take your stand and declare: “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Amen!
