Experiential Knowledge of God Leads to True Worship

by

I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him. (Eccl. 3:14)

Knowledge is a spectrum that begins from the cognitive stage and ends at the experiential level. Knowledge at the cognitive or intellectual level is indispensable but it is not an end in itself. The short journey from the head to the heart must be completed if we are to experience knowledge that brings about transformation. Most people in the world who subscribe to the Christian faith know something about God, but have no experiential knowledge of Him. What they know has not completed the twelve inches trip from the head to the heart and so their knowledge of God is unproductive and cannot save them.

God is busy all the time churning out different acts in our world with the sole purpose that people will see, know, and believe in Him in their hearts and not just in their heads. When we believe in Him, it leads us to revere and worship Him. God does not only desire that we reverence Him, He demands it and He is worthy of it all. He created all things, especially human beings for His own glory and pleasure.

What is it that you know about God? What has He revealed to you lately? How has that helped you to revere and worship God? May we all know, love, and worship God from our hearts.
