Is God Partial?

by

“I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.” Lev. 26:12

Is God Partial?
For there is no partiality with God. Romans 2:11

The gods of the nations are terrorists and their worshipers are in constant dread and fervently work hard to appease them so that they do not get chastised. Such gods are never compassionate, they do not forgive and are never just and fair. They are unholy and absolutely fraudulent.

What a difference with the living God whose actions to us are of the perfect Father that He is: caring, compassionate, forgiving and loving beyond measure. He told Moses and the Israelite’s that He will walk among them, be their God and they His people. What an offer? This same promise is repeated so many times in different ways in the New Testament. Saints, like the Israelite’s “… are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession…” (1Peter 2:9) and He wants to lead us every step of our way. What a privilege?

Last week as I shared the Gospel with a Muslim, he stated that God is partial in choosing Israel as a nation. We can argue about this assertion, but I have no problem with God being partial in choosing me to be His child and assuring me that He will walk with me and be my God and I be His child. Fact of the matter is that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the same privilege as shown in Romans 2:11, “For there is no partiality with God“. God is not partial; He is waiting for you to invite Him in to be your God.
