What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered away? Mat. 18:12
There is no doubt from this parable that even if I were the only lost person in the world, and there was no other way I could be saved, Jesus would have still willingly died for me. His death was for individuals who sinned individually against God. This is the good news we were reminded of this past Easter. Well, the parable had only one lost sheep out of a hundred. The reality we are dealing with today is that there may be at least ninety-five lost sheep out of a hundred. Jesus Christ left us with the task of finding the ninety-five lost sheep. Finding these many lost sheep is not difficult because they are all around us – in our homes, neighborhoods, at work/school and playgrounds. Since Jesus Christ came to look for you and save you, is it too much to engage yourself in His task to find other lost sheep and bring them to Him?
