Revival That God Initiates

by

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isa. 43:19

Isaiah 43 is a powerful chapter that brings us a note of hope. Although Israel is its focus, the message applies to every believer and the Church. God introduces Himself as the Holy One who created us and called us individually by name. He is our Savior who declares that He has already redeemed us. Because of what He has done in our lives, we have become His witnesses to a lost world. We feel so unworthy. Our past failures are still fresh in our minds. We are struggling to live right today, but we are not quite making it. But God comes with words of comfort that we should forget the past. Our verse for today assures us that God will do a new thing. He will revive and restore us to Himself. The way through the wilderness will be His Word, and the river in the desert will be His Spirit. These are the provisions of God to bring us back to Himself.
