Recipe for Prosperity and Success

“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Jos 1:8

Recipe for Prosperity and Success

Growing up we had to memorize our Multiplication Tables at the back of our notebooks. Today we have calculators and smartphones that do the math for us but then kids in all grades of every school are not required to memorize the tables. The Bible from the beginning was limited in supply and there might have been just one copy in a church or even in a whole town. People memorized large portions of the scripture using creative ways like songs, storytelling, etc.

Today, we have Bibles in Print, Video, Audio, internet, and on our smartphones and it goes with us every where we go. The sad thing is that our generation is reading the Bible far less than the previous generations. What God requires of us from Joshua 1:8 is to Meditate on the Word of God. To do that we need these five steps:

Step 1: Hear the Word of God.
Step 2: Read the Word.
Step 3: Study the Word.
Step 4: Memorize the Word.
Step 5: Meditate on the Word.

When you have taken these five steps, your meditation should lead you to carefully do everything God has said, and then you will be prosperous and successful. What will that prosperity and success look like for you? It is custom packed by God for you and it will be the perfect thing that you ever need.
