WEEK ONE – FOCUS IS ON PRAISE/THANKSGIVING
FROM HOME AND CROSS-BOARDER MISSION FIELDS
“Praise the Lord, all people on earth, praise his glory and might.” (1 Chronicles 16:28)

FRIDAY 1ST
Praise God for His sustaining grace and mercies that have kept us through the 1st month of theyear. Let’s keep praying that the Gospel will accelerate and yield hundred-fold and that through us the knowledge of the glory of God will spread wide among men this year and beyond.

SATURDAY 2ND
Praise God for sustaining the young church planted in Yelmene which was successfully weaned into a full Local Church under Kaltungo DCC.

SUNDAY 3RD
Togo has been a long-existing mission base with many mission stations in different areas of the country; praise God for the progress EMS has and is recording through the selfless efforts of its missionaries.

NOTE: WE ARE FASTING TOMORROW

FIRST (1ST) MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS TO BE OBSERVED NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY AS EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY. THEREFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. WE JOIN FAITH AND TRUST GOD IN ONE ACCORD WITH BRETHREN AROUND THE WORLD FOR A STEADY AND FRUITFUL GROWTH OF THE WORK OF MISSIONS, PEACE AND THE SALVATION OF NATIONS, FO R REVIVAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE CHURCH. OUR COOPERATE PRAYER TIME AT THE HEAD OFFICE IS 8-9AM, 12-1PM, AND 3-4 PM RESPECTIVELY. YOU CAN JOIN US IN PRAYERS WHEREVER YOU MAY BE AT THOSE TIMES OR MAKE OUT TIME OF YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE AS YOU ARE LED BY GOD. PLEASE, JUST BE SURE TO PRAY ALONG AS YOU FAST.

MONDAY 4TH
Praise God for a fruitful ministry of Rev. Yusuf Gyari who retired last year in December; ask that God will grant him rest even as he considers new ministry opportunities.

TUESDAY 5TH
Praise God for the provision of the sum of N400, 000 through the Wuse ii evangelism team for the purchase of a mission vehicle in the Republic of Togo. Ask for more of God’s grace and blessings on this donor.

WEDNESDAY 6TH
Praise God for the provision of a new motorcycle to Rev. Musa D. Mato by his supporter, Kano DCC Women’s Fellowship. Ask the Lord to bless the donors.

THURSDAY 7TH
Praise God for the family of Hassan in Niamey, Niger Republic, who gave their house to Rev. & Mrs. John Gada as a place for children to be discipled. Pray that food would be generously provided to feed the children meeting for the fellowship.

FRIDAY 8TH
Praise God for the provision of a pulpit, 10 plastic chairs and a banner with the church’s activities on it for ECWA Godomey, Benin Republic. Ask the Lord to bless the donors of these items.

SATURDAY 9TH
Praise God for the official inauguration program of SOUTH NORTH WEST REGION, the new EMS region. This new region is the 12th region of EMS. Ask the Lord to grant grace to Rev. Nehemiah Magaji, the new regional coordinator of this region, and the people he will be working with.

WEEK TWO – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS

But He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose. Luke 4:43

SUNDAY 10TH EMS MANAGEMENT

  • The EMS administrative office has embarked on a transfer of regional coordinators and an appointment of new ones.
  • Let’s not relent in praying for fresh grace, blessings, protection and daily strength upon the EMS Management Team as they work daily and travel to advocate Christ’s cause and provide leadership within Nigeria and abroad for the purpose of God’s mission around the world.

MONDAY 11TH EMS BOARD MEMBERS
Ask the Lord to help EMS board members to approach issues with an open, inquiring mind, free from prejudice, with their heart depending on the Holy Spirit for the strength to make hard decisions. Let’s not relent in asking the Lord to please keep EMS Board Members humble and dependent upon him to give them the perfect wisdom and direction that they need to strategize and advice EMS leadership on how to move the ministry forward.

TUESDAY 12TH EMS SUPPORTERS
Pray for God’s blessing on their families, as well as their own spiritualhealth. May our supporters grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for their own spiritual lives, that they would grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ. Pray that they would be encouraged and supported in any area of their needs. Pray that their own lives would reflect the gospel to those around them.

WEDNESDAY 13TH ECWA EXECUTIVES
Pray also for their pastoral work, that they would encourage and counsel the flock with wisdom and discernment. Pray for the stress they bear in their work and in carrying the weight of responsibility for our souls, that they would find rest in Christ. Pray that they would resist temptations to sin and depend wholly upon the grace of Christ.

THURSDAY 14TH
ECWA MINISTERS/STAKEHOLDERS Pray that they would preach the Word of truth, “beready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with complete patience and teaching” (2Timothy 4:2). Pray that they would faithfully be committed to the work. Pray that they would equip the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).

EMS MUSLIM OUTREACH UNIT Pray that all those who have been transferred and appointed will turn out very effective in their new mission field and also pray for wisdom and favor as they relate with people at different levels in the course of their work.

FRIDAY 15TH

Pray for the hearts of Muslim Background Believers, that they would increase in their passion to love others and share the gospel. Pray for MBBs to remain steadfast and unwavering in their faith.

SATURDAY 16TH FAR NORTH – KATSINA DCC
Pray for missionaries who are working and laboring in difficult terrains in this region. Ask the lord to shield, guide and defend them and their families from every evil in 2019.

WEEK THREE – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who examines our hearts. 1 Thessalonians 2:4

SUNDAY 17TH NORTH CENTRAL REGION – JOS

Ask the Lord to intervene over the recent attacks on Nding community which has resulted to the burning of churches by Fulani herdsmen. Let’s not relent in praying forthe safety of our missionaries, especially in places often targeted for attacks.

MONDAY 18TH CENTRAL REGION – GARKI

  • Ask the Lord to grant Rev. Gambo Ayuba, the new Central Regional Coordinator, the favor, wisdom and grace to put up effective mission strategies for successful ministry in his region.
  • Ask the Lord to raise for Himself more supporters/partners in Shiroro, Niger /Delta, and Suleja DCCs.
  • Pray for EMS projects in Taiyu, Mararaba, Kubaidnapa, Bataron Jatau in Shiroro DCC.

TUESDAY 19TH FAR NORTH – KATSINA

  • Praise God for the life of Mr. Micah Yakubu in Katsina DCC who has committed himself to partner with EMS. Pray for the Lord to provide for him to continue in his partnership.
  • Pray also for a financial opening for the building projects at Gidan Soda, Gidan Boka, Gidan Suhu and Dandume mission stations.

WEDNESDAY 20TH NORTH WEST REGION – KADUNA
Ask the Lord to grant Rev. Bungule Yahaya, the new North West Regional Coordinator, the favor, wisdom and grace to put up effective mission strategies for ministry in his region.

THURSDAY 21ST MID CENTRAL REGION – KAGORO
Ask the Lord to sustain Ungwan Mamuda mission station, which has been weaned into a local church.

FRIDAY 22ND EMS SOUTH NORTH WEST REGION
Praise God for the success of the inauguration of this new region on the 9th of this month. Ask the Lord to grant grace to Rev. Nehemiah Magaji, the new Regional Coordinator of this region, to be able to coordinate this new region and also bring new influence and mission fulfillment.

SATURDAY 23RD SOUTH NORTH EAST REGION – JALINGO
Ask the Lord to grant wisdom to the new Taraba DCC executives and the new regional coordinator of this region; ask that they be mission-minded in carrying out the administrative responsibilities.

WEEK FOUR: FOCUS ON CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS

SUNDAY 24TH

CROSS BORDERS CRITICAL NEED EMS is still trusting God for the sum of about N854M that is urgently needed for various critical Cross Borders Projects. Please continue to pray for this need.

NIGER REPUBLIC Pray for missionaries in this country; many of them are currently faced with a food shortage due to unstable rainfall. Rev. Kanawa in Maradi, Niger Republic is planning a program for missionaries and their wives; ask the Lord to grant provisions to that effect.

MONDAY 25TH BENIN REPUBLIC

  • Pray for God’s provision for the support of Rev. Amos Disciple who has volunteered to stay in Aglansa, a targeted area for mission work.
  • Keep praying for provisions of funds for the sponsorship of Thibaut & Assogba Fami, who have decided to go to seminary with their families.

TUESDAY 26TH ECWA MALI
Praise God for bringing two more candidates for ECWA Mali to be prepared for theological training. Hamidou Guirou, Ezekiel Tessougue and Tenou Coro are among the university students studying English that we have been helping. Pray for funds to continue their theological training.

  • Keep praying along with us for 5,000 bags of grain; this project is for the 21 Dogon villages (not enough rain and the communal crisis stopped many from going to their farms).
  • Keep praying for the 26 children who said the salvation prayer on 2/12/18 in Mali to understand God’s complete package of salvation and to keep them safe and strong when faced with persecution.

WEDNESDAY 27TH GAMBIA
Apart from the theological seminary opened by Rev. Tanimu and his wife Favor- Tamar, an Early Childhood Development Center has also been opened, which God is using greatly in reaching more people, especially in the Barra community of The Gambia.

THURSDAY 28TH ECWA REPUBLIC OF GHANA
Ask the Lord to grant wisdom to our missionaries in Ghana for a good relationship with Ghanaians. Pray for the nationals to understand the vision and mission of ECWA and to be able to work according to the ministry standards.
