There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. 1 Sam. 2:2
The concept of God’s holiness is beyond our ability to fully comprehend. It is His character, indispensable and central to who He is. God’s holiness embodies all His other attributes like: Righteousness, Goodness, Kindness, Mercy, Justice, Love, Patience, etc. All these attributes are perfectly balanced in God and He does not contradict any while performing another. There is indeed no one like Him.
So where did evil and Coronavirus come from? God created everything and it was good. Angels and humans are created beings with free will as God determined. He also gave us abilities to do or invent things from what He created. All would have been perfect if only Lucifer had followed God’s will. All human inventions would have been perfect if only we obeyed God. Both Lucifer and man chose disobedience; worked against God’s will and used God’s creation to invent the evil we are surrounded with. Evil is our own invention and not part of God’s character. Satan, the god of this world and humans are the ones running the world, not God. Yet we blame God for our evil inventions.
Before the fall, everything was perfect. After the fall, everything is in chaos. When Christ returns, everything will be perfect again. To survive this evil and sinful world and really thrive, we must stand on God our Rock.
