Samsung announced at CES that it is joining the Home Connectivity Alliance, along with big names such as GE, Haier, and Electrolux Group to set the guidelines to enable secure communication between their smart-home platforms. Which translates to connected gadgets in our homes like security cameras, thermostats, smart speakers, phones, televisions, light bulbs, and refrigerators will be able to talk to each other.The Home Connectivity Alliances leverages a clearly defined structure to facilitate interoperability, promote consumer safety, and drive innovation.
