Congratulations! It pleased God to usher you into the year 2025. You do have grand plans and expectations for yourself this New Year. But wait! God is saying He has plans to prosper you and give you hope and a future. You will have a blissful year if your plans align perfectly with God’s plans. If not, jettisoning your plans for God’s better plans is the only next step. But how can I know God’s plans for my life? Thanks for asking. The straight answer is that you ask God! He is eager to progressively reveal His plans for your life as you walk in obedience daily with Him. A story in Luke 10:38-40 encourages us to sit quietly at the feet of Jesus to listen to Him. David did the same thing in Ps. 27:4. Even Jesus Christ, while He was here on earth, often withdrew to lonely places to hear and speak to His Father (Lk. 5:16). “Wait for the Lord …”, “Be still and know …” (Ps. 27:14, 46:10). You will know God’s plans precisely as you read His Promises in the Bible. Through the Holy Spirit, He will reveal the plans that apply to you as you ask Him in prayer. Have a blessed 2025, even when you encounter thorns along the way.
